Stuart Thomas is a Cardiologist with a special interest in skill in the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. He performs catheter ablation procedures for arrhythmias & implants cardiac devices such as pacemakers & defibrillators. His research interests include atrial fibrillation mechanisms & treatment & mechanisms of ventricular arrhythmias.
He was Chairman of the Electrophysiology & Pacing Council of the Cardiac Society of Australia & New Zealand (NZ) & a Cardiac Society Board Member from 2009 and 2012. He is a clinical academic at the University of Sydney (USYD).
