About Assoc Prof Andrew Ong
Associate Professor Andrew T. L. Ong is a Cardiologist at Westmead, Blacktown & Westmead Private Hospitals (WPH). His rooms are at Westmead & Eastwood & is interested in the diagnosis, investigation, treatment & management of coronary artery disease.
He performs echocardiography, coronary angiography & percutaneous coronary intervention (balloon angioplasty, stents, rotablator, fractional flow reserve assessment, intravascular ultrasound, and optical coherence tomography).He has an interest in complicated percutaneous coronary intervention.
He graduated from the University of New South Wales (NSW), undertook Cardiology training at St George Hospital, & completed an Interventional Fellowship at Dunedin, New Zealand. His PhD (cum laude) was on medicine-eluting stents. He has co-edited a book and published over 60 papers & book chapters. He is daily asked to provide reviews for numerous Cardiology journals.
