About Dr Gregg Meyer
In addition to being a practicing physician, Greg S. Meyer, MD, MSc, is senior vice president for quality and safety at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. Prior to this, Dr. Meyer served as Medical Director of MGPO. Dr. Meyer was previously director of the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. He also served as Division Director of General Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and was a United States Air Force colonel. Dr. Meyer graduated from Union College and Albany Medical College. He earned a master’s degree at Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar and a master’s degree from Harvard. He has served on numerous national and international committees on quality and safety in healthcare and has authored more than 100 articles, editorials, chapters, and monographs.
