About Dr Jay Thakkar
Dr Thakkar is a Cardiologist with an interest in adult general cardiology & coronary intervention.
He graduated in 2003 & underwent cardiology training at Westmead Public & Royal Darwin Hospitals. He was awarded a fellowship with The Royal Australasian College in 2012. Passionate about his work, he undertook a developed Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the world-renowned Vancouver General Hospital (Vancouver, Canada).
Dr Thakkar maintains a keen interest in academia and has published widely. He is a Research Fellow at The University of Sydney, WARC (Westmead Applied Research Centre), & The George Institute for Global Health; developing mobile phone technology for cardiac rehabilitation of patients with coronary artery disease.
