About Dr Thomas (Young Chul) Oh
Dr Thomas (Young Chul) Oh graduated from medical school at the University of New South Wales and underwent surgical training at Westmead Hospital. After completing his training & receiving a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons he undertook a year of fellowship in Trauma & Acute Care Surgery at Westmead Hospital, a level 1 trauma center. This was followed by two further years of breast endocrine surgical fellowship at the Centre for Breast Health, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
As well as extensive training & competency in general surgical procedures including hernia & biliary surgery. Dr. Oh has an interest & experience in the treatment of breast cancer & reconstruction & thyroid/parathyroid disorders. He works in close liaison with a multidisciplinary team of pathologists, radiation, & medical oncologists at Strathfield Private Hospital & Macquarie University Hospital to make the seamless integration of all treatments required for breast cancer.
Doctor Oh is currently working as a consultant surgeon at Westmead Private Hospital (WPH) & Westmead Hospital. Dr Oh is actively involved in continuing medical education & research & has published in international journals. Dr Oh is a fellow/member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons & Breast Surgeons in Australia & New Zealand.
