Healthy Lifestyle of Professionals

  • Aimee is a working woman in her early forties living in a metropolitan city. He felt tired when he reached home late in the evening.

Nutrition

  • A proper, balanced, regular and routine, and close to a natural diet is the key to nutrition. The daily diet should be divided into 2-3 meals including breakfast which will take care of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of various nutrients required by the body.
  • These nutrients are the tools/weapons of the body’s natural fighting mechanism against adversities such as viruses, bacteria, and various other toxins that our bodies are exposed to on a daily basis. These nutrients are divided
  • Apart from these commonly known conventional nutrients, our body needs additional special-purpose nutrients such as fiber, phytonutrients, etc.
  • Our body needs a specific amount of each nutrient on a daily basis called the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). Our daily diet should be such that it provides us with the RDA of all essential nutrients.
  • There should be more variety in the type of food we eat during the day but there should be more consistency in the food we eat each day.
  • Your daily diet should include more raw and less processed foods. The number of colors in the natural form represented by the food item should be as high as possible.
  • Many times, it becomes difficult to meet the RDA of all nutrients through our food due to many reasons like poor quality of food, preference of taste and convenience over nutrition, etc.
  • In such cases and cases where there is a specific health challenge, one is advised to take certain food supplements. The only word of caution in this regard is that the supplement should be natural and not synthetic.
Physical Exercise and Active Lifestyle

Sleep

  • A sound and continuous sleep of 6 to 8 hours per day are as important for health as nutrition and exercise. The body and mind get proper rest during sleep. The physical repair of the muscles strengthens the body and the union of thoughts in sleep strengthens the mind.
  • Although less sleep is as harmful as improper nutrition or lack of exercise, one can adopt meditation techniques to reduce the body’s need for sleep. However, one should opt for adequate sleep instead of its alternative.
Avoiding Pollution & Stress
  • Pollution and stress are just as powerful toxins as bad food, if not more so. The body’s immune system has to fight pollution and stress along with other health problems. Pollution and stress not only harm health but also unnecessarily increase nutritional requirements.
  • Stress is entirely related to one’s ability to cope with one’s own thought processes. So, it is not a problem in a real sense, but it creates a problem in one’s mind.
Positive Mental Attitude
  • If someone does everything else to stay healthy but has a positive mental attitude, he still can’t stay healthy. A positive mental attitude is so subtle and subtle in nature that some may mistake it for not being very important, but to discount its importance in staying healthy and fit would be a big mistake.
  • One should have a strong belief that “what happens in life is for good”. One’s thinking process should be solution-oriented rather than problem-finding. Having a positive mental attitude ensures that all the other pillars of health work in your favor.
