About Dr David Fisher

David E. Fisher, MD, Ph.D. is an internationally known researcher, physician, and educator, who is the Chief of the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts (USA). He received his Ph.D. under Nobel laureate Gunter Bloebel at Rockefeller University and his medical degree under Dr. Henry Kunkel at Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Fisher completed his specialty training in medicine, pediatrics, and oncology at Harvard Medical School. He most recently served three years as president of the International Society for Melanoma Research, the largest organization devoted to melanoma research.
