About Dr Ellen O’Donnell
Ellen O’Donnell, PhD is co-director of the MGH Pediatric Behavioral Medicine Program and director of the Children’s Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Center and Psychological Services at Mass General at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Boston. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and co-directs the Child Track of the MGH Internship in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. O’Donnell specializes in helping pediatric patients and their families cope with chronic illness and acute burn injuries. He helped develop an innovative pediatric multidisciplinary diabetes clinic where patients with type 1 diabetes meet with multiple providers, including psychologists, in a comprehensive visit. He consults with diabetes organizations JDRF New England, ADA, Diabetes Link, and Diabetes Camps Clara Burton and Camp Joslin. Dr. O’Donnell also specializes in neuropsychological assessment and working with children and adolescents affected by both medical illnesses and developmental or learning disabilities.
