About Dr Norbert Doeuk
Dr Norbert Douk is a urologist with extensive experience in advanced minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of cancer and other common urological conditions. Dr Dowke graduated from the University of Queensland and also completed a Masters of Surgery (Urology) at the University of Sydney.
Dowke is a Visiting Medical Specialist (VMO) at St George’s Private Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and The Mater Private Hospital.
Dowke is one of the few urologists in Sydney with a fully dedicated overseas robotic uro-oncology fellowship. He awarded a travel grant and further sponsorship and selected to undertake extensive training at the prestigious Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, the UK’s highest volume robotics center and the UK’s first and only officially accredited robotic surgery institute. While in London, Dr Dowke performed the first partial nephrectomy on the UK’s latest robotic platform (Da Vinci Xi) and has been involved in over 500 robotic cases to date, mostly prostate operations, but also bladder and kidney surgery.
Dr. Douk invited to perform live broadcast prostate cancer surgery worldwide at the World Robotic Surgical Event 2015 and is now heavily involved in the education and training of new robotic surgeons at the national level.

Dr. Douk has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals, has authored a book chapter on robotic surgery and small renal masses, and has presented several times internationally. He has received the John Lowenthal Medal for research on kidney cancer and is regularly invited to peer review other publications.
Dr Dowke is a full member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Medical Association and the European Association of Urology.
