About Professor Mark Adams Cardiology
Professor Mark Adams graduated with first-class honors from the University of Sydney (US) in 1987 & accomplished general cardiology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before completing a PhD at the Heart Research Institute and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). These studies into the cellular mechanisms involved in the early improvement of coronary atherosclerosis led to the award of the Ralph Reader Prize in 1996.
Postdoctoral studies and training in Interventional Cardiology were pursued at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard University in Boston before taking up a position as an interventional cardiologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 1999.
