Dr Rodrigues is an expert Physician in Neurology who treats all neurological conditions and welcomes referrals for Electromyography services, medico-legal, & workers’ compensation. He has expertise in Movement disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, Tremor, & Dystonia, & also Deep Brain Stimulation and other advanced therapeutic options including Botulinum Toxin Therapy for conditions including Craniofacial/Head & Neck Disorders, Hemifacial Spasm, Blepharospasm, Spasmodic Dysphonia, Voice Tremor, Bruxism, Temporomandibular pain, Toricollis/Cervical Dystonia Spasticity, Headache, – Anxillary and Palmoplantar Hyperhidrosis

Background and Training:
Dr Julian Rodrigues completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1995 at the University of WA Medical School. Was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australia College of Physicians in 2004. He undertook further training in the sub-specialty field of Movement Disorders in WA, including botulinum toxin therapy, electrophysiology, and deep brain stimulation. Further expertise with DBS was obtained at large volume centers in Sydney, Brisbane, & Kiel (Germany).
As part of his clinical & research work, he has published many articles in scientific journals, introduced at various national and international meetings, and written a Parkinson’s Disease manual for Australian GPs. He undertakes regular teaching of medical students, allied health staff, nurses, and junior doctors. Dr Rodrigues remains actively involved in promoting awareness of neurological diseases & clinical research via media interviews, presentations to community groups including school, and patient support groups, & science promotion events. He is a past council member of the Australian and NZ Association of Neurologists, and past Secretary. The Movement Disorder Society of Australia, and a member of various advisory boards in the field of Movement Disorders.
